We loved the service at the hotel. The facilities need a lot of repairs. It could be absolutely outstanding with some TLC.

Week in April allows Cubans to stay at resort. As much as Cubans are beautiful people, they overran / ruled the resort. Staff were catering more to them generally.

La plage et la mer exceptionnelles comme dans les îles turquoises. Buffet avec soirées thématiques très bien. Tout le monde pouvait y trouver ce qu'il voulait. Donc bon rapport qualité prix. Restaurants à la carte un sur trois était bon soit le Steak House. La paella et le cochon braisé excellent. Bonnes activités pour toute la famille. Accueil courtois, très bon service. Notre chambre était bien mais besoin d'un peu de rafraîchissement. Salle de bain bien. Propreté de la chambre bien en plus pas de tapis dans les chambes ça aide. Fer et planche à repasser. Dans l'ensemble cela était notre 2e visite et nous y retournerons.

This was our 9th time over the last 13 years at Bella Costa. As usual we were treated like family

good food at the a la cartes, weak at the buffet, beautifull beach. Villa rooms are a better choice. Hotel is an older one.

un peu loin de la ville, nourriture parfois froide au buffet mais varié et beaucoup de choix. les chambres ont besoin de réno. mais j'ai eu la chance d'avoir une chambre avec vue sur la mer alors ce fut super!!malgré le bruit du spectacle jusqu'à 22h30

Another wonderful week at Breezes Bella Costa. My husband and I love this place. The Beach is great, the place is clean and the food is good and the cerveza is cold! The hotel’s best asset is the Staff. They are awesome. Hubby loves the golf included. Yes the rooms are outdated (but always clean) but we don’t go on vacation to stay in our room. Loved the Returnees Dinner. Hope to return in December.

Cet hôtel est très bien pour quelqu'un qui veut profiter des nombreuses activités disponibles, de la superbe plage et d'un personnel hors-pair. Un 4 étoiles à Cuba n'est pas comme ailleurs; on ne doit pas se faire d'attentes trop élevées.

Found this hotel clean with a good variety of tasty food and friendly helpful staff. Perhaps a listing of activities (when & where) would have been helpful if maybe handed out upon arrival.

Second time to this hotel. We love it here. The people are great. The Food is great. The a La Cart restaurants I do not reccomend but at the buffet will always find something to eat. It was cold in the evenings but that did not stop us from watching the shows and hanging in thw lobby and listening to music and eating chocolate donuts (they are the best). The kids shows were great and at a perfect time. This place perfect for families. I feel so safe with my kids wondering the resort and the beach here, everything is so close to eachother. The resort is a little dated and needs some repair but then again what resort doesn't in Cuba unless it is brand spankin new. We will be back in October.

Nous avons séjourné 10 jours au Bella Costa, 3 adultes et deux très jeunes enfants.

Personnel très attentif, disponible et souriant. Nous avons été surpris de la nourriture qui est bonne et variée.

Plage facile pour des enfants. Site bien aménagé. Longue plage vers la gauche. Beaucoup de palapas.

Grande piscine mais mal rénovée, toile ballotante.

Nous étions dans un suite familiale dans les villas. Toutes les commodités étaient là ! Toutefois besoin de rénovation. Très propre. Suite avec deux chambres complètes et chacune leur salle de bain à l'étage, au RC grand salon et toilette.

Breezes Bella Costa food was excellent with lots to choose from for everyone. From the bacon and eggs and omelettes to the lobster night and beach barbecues we were pleasantly surprised. The pastas at lunch were a must and the beach pizza was good although the wait for pizza was excessive. We found the front desk confused at times and the staff was not as friendly as other stays in Cuba. The entertainment was ok but not too interactive and friendly. The maids were great and took good care of our rooms. We found at the Breezes that tipping was expected and not as appreciated as our last stay. The entertainment staff actually came out to the crowd and asked for tips. This may be the way it is becoming in Cuba as our Catamaran trip was the same with the crew even stating the amount that was expected. The rooms were old and the beds were the worst we have ever seen, this cannot be understated, absolutely brutal. We paid extra for a garden view which was nice because of the balcony but the view was of the back of the building with all the air conditioning units and delivery entrance. We would pay extra again for the balcony but don't expect a beautiful garden. The A la Cartes were the same as everywhere, all good times were taken when we arrived so we we did not try any. We will try other hotels before we would come back to the Bella Costa. The food would be the only thing to bring us back.

Great trip would recommend this resort to anyone. From talking to different people from different resorts and people from our resort that have tried others and say the people and food are the best at Bella Costa

Nôtre séjour à été correct, c'est la deuxième fois à cet hôtel. Nous allons en essayer d'autres pour les prochaines fois, mais pour une première expérience c'est correct. Difficile de comparer vu que je n'ai pas essayé d'autre hôtel mais je pense qu'il y aurait de la place pour amélioration, surtout la piscine qui se déteriore depuis un an, la toile est décollée du fond partout.

The Bella Costa is probably the cleanest hotel we stayed at in Cuba over the years. The grounds are well taken care of, and the public bathrooms are surprisingly clean everywhere, a huge plus. However, we noted some serious health and safety issues that are not addressed, and it is only a matter of time before somebody gets very sick or very hurt in that hotel. From a health perspective, the beach grill is an open air restaurant, that could be pleasant to eat at. However, there are hundreds of birds flying in and out, and for that reason, most of the food station are surrounded by a protective netting. However, two popular spot need some attention!! At the ice cream bar, the water containers designed to store and clean the ice cream serving spoons double as a bird bath. When there are no guests helping themselves to ice cream, we repeatedly saw birds drinking from and bathing in that water. As soon as someone approaches, they fly away, but that is a serious sanitary issue. Also in the beach grill, at the pizza station. A very popular spot, as the very busy cook cheerfully prepares your pizza with your chosen toppings, we often saw several birds perched on the edge of the pizza dough pans behind him, picking away at the dough waiting to be served. When the poor cook finally becomes aware of that, he chases them away, but they return the moment he resumes his pizza prep. Not a great situation...

In our building (room 710), a panel of the skylight is completely loose at the base and flaps away in the wind. It was a very windy week when we were there, so the panel was constantly flapping up and down. it was extremely noisy and it's only a matter of time before the panel flies off completely and seriously hurst someone. The circular stairwell leading up to our room had an interesting detail too. A wedge of the top stair has rotted away and there is a wide gap between the stair and the landing. A child's foot could easily get lodged in there, and any adult could so easily trip and get seriously injured. Yet this issue remains completely unresolved. I have pictures to prove it, my sister and I could simply not believe it.

In addition, our building was located directly behind the disco La Rumba. Although we had paid extra for an ocean view room, the ocean view was partial, and our panorama was the dumpsite behind the disco and our hotel. Sitting out on the balcony with a drink was certainly not an option, in fact my sister and I took pictures to illustrate how ridiculous it is. On at least two occasions we woke up to the dulcid tones of two men sorting through a huge mound of recycling cans and general debris. Some ocean view!! And to pay a supplement for that? Shame!!! And that is not a Bella Costa issue, but the disco La Rumba is open until 4 a.m. on Saturdays, so when you building directly abuts that disco, there is no sleep to be had.

The food was o.k. at the buffet but the À la Carte restaurants are a joke. The Cuban restaurant in the beach grill advises clients to help themselves to help themselves to the crudités and salad bar. We passed on that opportunity considering that they were probably the same platters that sat there at lunchtime. The main courses were all right, but we were offered no dessert or wine, so we headed back to the buffet to finish our meal. At the Japanese restaurant, the waitress dropped a piece of sushi on the floor and left it there. I ended up picking it up at the end of the meal. The Italian restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the dish that my niece and I ordered was delivered with spaghetti & tomato sauce, when it advertised fettucini with basil pesto.

In terms of facilities, the lining of the swimming pool has come away and is lifting everywhere. Although the water was very cold, we did swim a few times and one feels like they are walking on a cushion because the lining is lifting everywhere.

I could go on and on, but it wouldn't be fair to be only negative. Our general impression at the end of our trip is that we had a good time and are relieved that we managed to avoid getting hurt or sick. Is that an acceptable barometer of customer satisfaction after spending $1293.00? I think not. This is not a 4 star hotel by a long shot!!!!!!!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that we ended up in the villas because the room we were assigned initially in the main building, had a broken toilet that simply did not flush at all. They sent a plumber armed with a plunger before we could even report the problem, so the already knew about that issue in that room before they sent us there. Wonderful...

The food was better than I expected but the grounds needed some work. Only 1 pool and the liner needed fixing. I had to have a cold shower once. Staff was friendly. Overall I had a great time with family and friends. I would like to have a swim up bar and more pools so for that reason I would not return but had a great time.

C'est mon 3e voyage a Cuba, le premier dans cet hôtel. Bien que l'hôtel a besoin d'un peu de travaux, ma chambre avait une superbe vue sur le golf et sur les deux cotés de la péninsule, salle de bain refaite, grosse pomme de douche! Femme de chambre super gentille, Bouffe bien correcte, toujours trouvé quelque chose de bon a manger. Le BBQ du samedi midi est superbe, un beau cochon cuit sur la braise! La plage est très belle, quoi que les chaises sont parfois très usées... Faut se lever tôt pour réserver sa place... avant 7:30. Le personnel est agréable, souriant et aidant si vous avez besoin. Bien sur, on est pas au Ritz!! Mais je suis contente de mon expérience, j'y retournerai surement, avec un meilleur prix.. c'était la semaine de relâche, donc un peu cher... a cause de la période. Mes 2 ados (18-16) ont adoré! Le plus jeune a participé a toutes les activités et a semblé très content. Les spectacles par contre sont ordinaire, mais bon sans plus. En gros je recommande avec les standards de Cuba, un bon 4 étoiles. Si vous voulez les standards du Ritz... ben allez au Ritz, pas a Cuba!!
Ah, oui, oubliez le restaurant japonais...

Je n'ai pas apprécié d'avoir à courrir après le papier de toilette et attendre pour avoir 2 petits paquets de kleenex, à mardi 15h la chambre n'était pas encore faite et que dire des courants d'air même lorsque la température est froide comme c'était le cas durant notre séjour, 2 appels avant que le coffre-fort soit utilisable. Ce n'est pas un 4*. Sunwing est impécable.

Stayed 2/24-3/3.
Beach was very nice, better so to the right side. Hot weather for 4 days, rain on 1. Very windy for 2 days.
Food was average, have had better in Cuba, but there was lots of selection.
Italian al la carte was the best, Japanese ok and cuban not worth it.
Service at the buffet, al la cartes and bars was very good. Friendly and courteous fro the most part. appreciative of tips, but not expecting them.
Resort itself is older, and needs some upgrades, but is clean and comfortable.
We stayed in the villas, which again need to be upgraded, but they are clean and roomy. Nice view from the balcony.
Pool is too cool and shallow. Looks like they put in a liner to stop a leak but gave up on that idea because there are tears and wrinkles in it.
Not enough lounge chairs around the pool.
Loungers on the beach need to be cleaned and/or replaced.
Would not rate it a 4 star, as was advertised.

bon car les chambres reste un facteur a désirer

i just came back from a lovely two weeks at Bella Costa, yes this place is not a four star because the hotel is in desperate need of renovation, but the staff makes this resort a five star.
like i said the place is hold but im not going there to buy the hotel, the staff is amazing , very friendly and willing to bend backward to please you,from the general manager Mr.Mendez to the gardiner, this was my fourth time back and im looking forward to go back next year, the food as improved a lot since the first time i was there and i can assure you that you wont be disappointed with the food, every tues. night they have a special dinner only for the returning guests with champagne, a rose for the ladies and a cigar for the mens, with dances, songs, and prices to be won, and all the guest will have a chance to meet all the personal that run the resort, from the general manager, to the head chief, the beach is amazing with cristal clear water, i have nothing bad to say about Bella Costa, i just want to say thank you to all the friends i made at the resort, from Mr. Mendez, my friend Miquelon the beach restaurat cook, to Mariuka, Jesus, Mirabel our cleaning ladie, and Henrique at the front desk, and all the rest of the staff, like i said the place need some work, but the staff is what makes the difference, take from me go to Bella Costa and you going to have a very nice vacation

Sur toute la note le Bella Costa a été une belle expérience. Propre, bonne nourriture, belle grande chambre (section villa, super service qui donne le goût de donner du pourboire. Il y a bien-sur des améliorations qui pourrait être fait mais pour le prix la qualité est amplement au rendez-vous. J'y retournerai surement avec la petite famille!

First let me say this is my first time to Cuba so I have nothing to compare this visit with.

-Check in was easy and smooth
- Our family suite was clean but VERY outdated.
-Buffett was Ok. We could always find something to eat.The Italian restaurant was the best,Japanese the worst. Great pizza at the beach snack bar.
-Pool bar tenders were great,the ones in the lobby could be crusty at times.
-Service at the Buffett was hit or miss, however service at the snack bar was always good.
-Even though the water in the pool is shallow it is quite cold.
-The beach is beautiful but rocky in some areas.
-Kids club was almost non-existent. We never saw the activities posted daily happening

Even though my husband and four year old vomited for two days it was an okay holiday.

Would I go back? Sure, if the price was right.

Belle semaine avec ma fille de 5 ans. Tout est proche, l'hôtel n'est pas grand. La nourriture au buffet est très bien. Resto à la carte italien à un plus. Resto sur le bord de mer avec les oiseaux, pas très appétissant, meilleur au buffet. Nous avons pas été malade du tout. C'est sûr que l'hôtel est très vieille et demande un peu de réno. Mais quand il fait beau et qu'on mange bien, pour moi c'est le principale. Les gens parles français beaucoup sur place (réception et la fille qui s'occupe des enfants) Animation correcte sans plus. Un peu de caillou sur la plage, mais la mer est superbe. J'y retournerais dans un futur pour être sûr de bien manger à varadero!!
