Had a great time.Everything was fine with the exception of the toilet that didn't flush properly. The air conditioning did not work well at night. However, overall, I would recommend this resort. The food was very good and the best part about this resort was that there was never any problem getting a chair either at the beach or poolside.

A very good experience for the whole family, from toddler to teens and parents.

Great time with friends and family. Would go back in furture. Prefered club looks to get all the noise. Beach could stand a bit better cleaning of garbage from visitors but the seaweed gets pickes up 3 plus time a day in some cases. Kids club staff are great, both of ours loved going there, ages 8 and 5. Maid service was great but we tipped everyday too. One big downside is the pushy vendors the hotel lets in twice a week of 4 hours each time, super annoying.

Great hotel to just relax. There were a lot of seniors at the time that we traveled. Not to many older kids. So my kids did not have kids their own age to play with. (age from 6 to 9years)

It was absolutely wonderful. The facility was clean and well maintained. The customer service was excellent and the food in all of the restaurants was the best I have had in the D.R. and I have been going there for approximately 7 years now. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a place where there is a variety of guests - young families, young couples and more mature persons. It is not rowdy and there are activities to please everyone.

Great resort for couples / newly weds / destination weddings. Staff was extremely helpful for every need. I love the idea of being able to goto an a la carte every night of your trip. The only downside is a minor wait, but that quickly goes by with a few drinks in the lobby by, and with a coaster which alerts you when your turn to be seated comes.

I would definitely go back.

we left the hotel on day 5, paid extra to switch to another hotel. The whole vacation totally ruined by this so called 5 stars resort..I give it 3 the most. This package worth $700 the most.

Kelly & Alex who worked in the front desk area were such a great help to get you what you needed. They were sooooo friendly and caring, they made our stay so relaxing.

Gasolina has the most energy we've ever seen in one person, and him along with the entertainment staff really welcomed everyone and could truly entertain you for hours!!

TITO from the Seaside Grill is one of the most amazing guys we met. He made my Fiance and I feel like we were at home. He treated us like gold, and went above and beyond every single time. Definitely a person to get to know. He's so kind and a great person.

Noemi from the mexican restaurant was so sweet! NO matter where she was in the restaurant, she always made sure she kept a close eye on our table to ensure all our needs were tended to!

Georis and Frex were two guys we also met who were such a delight to talk to, and Georis made a fantastic manager that helped me with locking my lock key in my suitcase!

Gabrielle from the vacation club was a great guy who gave us really valuable information on the Dominican, and we really enjoyed our time spent with him.

Martha, Sophy, and The young girl who worked as a bartender in the preferred club (her name started with a D, sory i can't remember it,) but the 3 of them were sooooo sweet, fun to talk to, and always made sure we were ok.

Carlos was a really nice guy who always shout us out when he saw us, and even went to get us beach chairs when there weren't any around for us.

Miguel, the wine connossieur, was such a delight to be around with his friendly and funny personality.

The staff on the whole were top notch. The food was mouth watering. The bedroom washroom was pooorly done, but it didn't spoil our vacation. The drinks were fantastic. The entertainment was hilarious! And the beauty of the hotel was definitely one to remember!

Make sure you treat the staff well!!! THEY DESERVE IT!!!!

Hotel is definitely not 5 star. The one big complaint is the room, it definitely needs some updating with a fresh paint job. The room is very musty and always humid, air conditioning was not working very well and shower is made so that water falls all over floors. The staff is AMAZING including animation. Not to impressed with beach as we saw many many seaweeds, apart from seaweed beach is white sand and clear water.

The resort is close to the airport, beautifully landscaped, clean, spacious rooms, large pool, nice beach. Very relaxing week !!

Our room seemed nice at first glance, it was spacious with a nice view in a quiet building and the decor was pleasant. But, after I got over the strong smell of cleaning products I realized the room wasn't all that clean. The mirror and glass door in the bathroom were full of spots that just a few sprays of windex could remove. The grout on the floor and the shower was full of grime. The paint on the ceiling was bubbling and black in spots which I can only assume was from mold. I had heard the rooms were musty, but I didn't expect it to bother me so much. The A/C is obviously faulty and even with the personal dehumidifier in the room, it wasn't comfortable.

Clean and beautiful resort.

Three couples came to this resort and stayed from March 25 - April 1. All of us said the same thing. The rooms are good, but the bathrooms have a strange set up with a frosted glass half door separating the sink from the shower and toilet. The beds are large and very comfortable with good linens. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the housekeeping staff did a great job! The food was excellent!! Great variety at the buffet for all three meals with excellent service, especially by our favorite waiter George. The ala carte restaurants were equally good with no reservations which was a plus. The beach was well groomed with plently of charis and beach side service. The only knock about the beach is the water in this area can be weedy in places. The bar service was excellent! We did tip quite a bit, but always find that when you do, you receive quick service and they always remember you and what you like. Check in was quick with hot towels to freshen up and of course a welcome drink. All six of us agreed that we would come back to Dreams Palm Beach again!

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff is professional and friendly. The only issue is that we were booked into a room that faced the maintenance, mechamical building so it was a bit on the noisy side and not much to look at when on the porch. When we asked for a better located room, we were given the option of upgrading at a significant cost. I thought this should have been handled at the time of booking. The itravel2000 agent told me she asked for a beach view but when we got there, it's obvious that we were not given any consideration. I do understand that the beach, pool views are upgraded rooms but the agent should have known that.

From the time we arrived to the time we departed this hotel, the staff were the friendliest, most cordial and helpful group we had ever experienced.The a la carte restaurants were top notch, food incredible. The beach was wonderful, the surf a mix of carribean and ocean. The pool (preferred club) was heavenly with great staff to cater to you. A great destination hotel and a wonderful vacation.

Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana was a lovely facility but I wouldn't say it was quite 5-star. It's nice, well-maintained and fairly small so there's an intimate atmosphere. Food was more or less the same as any 4 or 5-star all-inclusive resort. There were more a-la-carte restaurants than most resorts but the menu offerings were limited and, in most cases, not that different from what was in the buffet. One thing that was amazing was the staff. Hands down, the staff here are the best of any resort I've ever been to. There were many of them, they were super-friendly but not agressive and always professional. Our room was fine but not quite 5-star and the bathroom tiles had mildew and a weird shower door design that always left water on the floor. The biggest issue with the resort is that there are not enough pool/beach loungers and if you don't get up at 6 a.m. to claim your chair you will not have one, ALL DAY. This wouldn't be such a huge problem except there's nowhere else to sit near the pool. The resort has no benches, hammocks, seats or any of the other things you find at other resorts.

Entertainment was surprisingly weak. The shows were cheesy which is common at all-inclusive resorts but the bad part was that they were basically held in the equivalent of a high-school gym. You needed to walk to a conference centre and then sit in rows of chairs like you were there for a conference. These shows work much better when they're held in open-air ampitheatre type venues.

So overall, it was pretty good. I would recommend it as one of the nicer resorts in the area but i doubt I'll return.

Service and food great also premium drinks

The beach at the hotel is very nice. The service was the worst I have ever had at a hotel. Room was not cleaned until 5 pm. The all inclusive included restocking the fridge in the room with water, soft drinks, beer and juice. Only one day was it filled without us calling room service. We even left a note with tips, they took the money but never restocked the fridge. The food was mediocre at best. Barely a one star for these aspects.

Absolutely awesome...excellent all around - food - friendly, attentive staff, big choice of entertainment/activities, excellent beach...all perfect!!! Definitely a dream come true!!

In all aspects, beaches, pools, service, food and entertainment, we could not have asked for better!

Our first night there we were so totlally disgusted.They put us in the far back building facing the back of the kitchen, the romm was musty in much needed of a paint job, there was mold all around the lamp shade, you couldn;t open the door to air the place out as tons of bugs would fly in. The hairdryer, coffee pot and shower handle were broken. When asked to be transferred to another room they said they were full until 3 the next day. (later we found out they were not full, this is part of their scam to get you to pay for an upgraded room)We met severall people from differnat parts of the world who had booked the tropical room some had even booked 10 months ago, we had booked 5 months ago, so you can see this is not a result from booking last minute. Even talking to people after a week of being there people were booked into our room and had the same conditions. This not an experience that you want to go through especially when you are thinking that you booked into a 5 star hotle and got a 2 star dump of a room. What away to start your holiday. After a day we were changed to another room some people had to wait 2 days athen our vacation began. I guess you do not have worry if you already have upgraded your room. Do not check in if you are put in building 9.

We were at DPB from Dec. 20-26th. We were scheduled to arrive on the 19th, but our flight was severely delayed.

The resort was gorgeous. The grounds, pools, beach, etc. The food was excellent in all the restaurants as well as at the buffet. There was also a great coffee shop called the Coco cafe which put Starbucks to shame.
There were plenty of activities for all ages and the animation team was fabulous. Hi to Gasolina from Barbie!
The kids programming was outstanding as well. What really makes DPB exceptional is it's staff. I have never encountered such nice people in all of my travels. Thanks to Franciso, Simon, Natividad, Jeuly,Patria, Rosa, Tony, Eunice, Salomy, and all the other wonderful people I met.

We can't wait to return to DPB. Excellente!

Très belle hôtel, site pas trop grand, belle végétation, très propre, belles piscines, personnels très gentils,belles chambres qui ne sentent pas l'humidité, un café shop très apprécié, très bonne nourriture aux 5 restaurants à la carte et sans réservation,le buffet est bon aussi mais moins de choix.Pas de bracelet.Il y a beaucoup de familles avec des enfants de 10 ans et moins ( jamais vue autant de poussettes dans le sud)et c'est mon 20 ième voyage.La plage est un peu décevante,il y a toujours des algues que les employés ramassent à longueur de journée, et ce n'est pas une longue plage donc pour les amants de longues marches ce n'est pas la plage idéale.

Overall a great experience. A few bumps at the beginning (which is not uncommon when travelling) were quickly resolved with good service. The room and especially bathroom was below our expectations - they were clean and VERY comfortable, but they need some renos (new caulk, grout, tile, plaster, vents, etc.) as they don't match the immaculate, upscale nature of the rest of the resort. They also need more clothing storage (we only had 10 hangers and 2 small drawers for a family of 4 for 1 week which they resolved with another 2-drawer chest and more hangers). The food was good. The Italian restaurant was our favourite a la carte. The grounds, pool, common areas are immaculate and very well-maintained. The beach has A LOT of seaweed which they rake from the beach, but it was so thick in the water it was hard to swim in places. The worst was the bits of garbage floating in the swimming area (not that they can do much about that short of having staff skimming the swim area like they do the pool, but this would be an all-day job). A short walk down the beach and there is an area with no resorts where the water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming. The beach itself was nice, fine white sand. The activities were varied and well-scheduled. The entertainment was very good by most standards (nevermind that it was "resort" entertainment). The Kids Club was the best I've ever seen! More like a day camp than babysitting (like at some resorts). The service was great - friendly staff willing to help, drink wait service on the beach was awesome! Overall, a great experience, but be aware of the condition of the rooms as well as the ocean swimming.

Hotel was good but not great.

Everything went smooth at check in. Upgraded to ocean front preferred room. The weather was great, rained only one night after we went to bed. Very windy though everyday but last. The preferred section was what made our trip. The private pool, free internet, club room with tvs, bar and treats all day. The waiter at the pool was always around to hand out drinks. The restaurants were good, never had to wait or make a reservation. You could decide at night which one you wanted to go to and just go. Sometimes you get a beepers and go to the bar and wait till there was a table ready, maybe 20 minutes or so. Lots of food options at each restaurant, but not any vegan options. Some vegetarian, but most had eggs, cheese or cream. Just to warn anyone that doesn't eat eggs, the vegetarian burger at the seaside grill is really a western sandwich on a hamburger bun. We had a great week, and everyone was really nice. Would love to go back.
