Très bel hotel très propre. Tout le monde est courtois et attentionné. Je suggère à tout ceux qui aime les endroits calme.

Everything is amazing and you can always find something that you would improve, so here is mine:
Bar Service - closes early - depending on what you like to drink you may not be fully satisfied.
Only Presidente beer available at bars as draft in regular or lite versions. 2 cans of Presidente beer in room fridge per day which is not ice cold if you like it that way. Cocktails are all made with mixes, and local spirits. Top brand liquor is available at some bars, and most top liquors are available at the lobby bar. Ice is not readily available if you are in a villa, so having a drink in your room is not convenient. (you end up going to the bar to get ice, so you might as well get your drink made while there)
This resort is ideal for couples that like a quiet place to relax, and has lots of roads and pathways for walking and enjoying the gardens. Not a good place for people with mobility issues.

This resort is one of the most beautiful ones we've been to. The hotel staff are friendly, providing efficient service with a smile. They make us feel very welcomed and special.

Location cannot be beat!! The staff are also amazing even though some speak very little english. However, the food is just ok, you won't go hungry tho. Definately not a 5 star, 4 star at most! Be wary of the owners lying to you to get you to move rooms to accomodate their own daughter's wedding party!!

Great service, very attentive staff, excellent food at buffet every night, rooms were lovely and clean. Beautiful property, get your exercise walking the pathways. Upper pool is quiet. Lower is nice and close to beach so you can move between both. Beautiful views. Fun watching the people come by boat to the public beach, which is totally separate from resort with security at the gate.

The room in the main building was larger and brighter than I expected. However, from friends, I know that not all villas are equally good. Internet access was very slow and unpredictable. One beach was very windy and wavy (difficult to swim), the other too small to hold all the people. Food was very good, even if there were not many selections. Friendly staff. Nice island.

While they say 5 star, set your expectations to 3.5 star and you will be happy. The food while nicely presented was not wonderful. They only have one a-la-carte open a time. We were there over valentines - they charged a $75 surcharge per person to dine at the a-la-carte that night. The staff really struggle with English which can be frustrating - learn a bit of spanish before you go! Also, plan to tip in advance of service (bring lots of US $1). The beach is small, but offers shade and plenty of chairs. They push their time share/beach club a lot... Property is lush and well kept. Nice for a quiet break.

It is a very pleasant experience for our 10th anniversary at this resort. The weather was co-operating. We spent majority of the time at the beach for sun and when it got too hot we just jumped into the crystal clear water to cool off while the marine lives were swimming underneath us. We were able to watch the humpback whales jumped off the surface of the water from the shore, and this moment just fill ones heart with wonders and be bewildered like a child. The smell of the sea mixed with the humidity of the tropical lush and dashed with some merengue notes are enough to pleasantly intoxicate one's senses without a drop of rum.

If you are searching for a wonderful memory I suggest this resort to you.

J'ai beaucoup aimé mes vacances à Cayo Levantado. À l'aéroport nous avons été accueilli par la représentante de vacances air transat. Elle nous a présenté notre chauffeur privé pour se rendre au quai. Wow! qu'elle surprise d'avoir droit à un tranfert privé! Tout cela parce que notre destination était cayo Levantado! L'île est un endroit vraiment idéal pour se reposer. La végétation est magnifique. Le service est vraiment impeccable. Les suites sont très belles et très grandes. Beaucoup de chaises disponibles à la plage et à la piscine. Beaucoup d'ombre également. Nourriture excellente autant au buffet que dans les restaurants à la carte.

Would come back any time

Great place to just shut down and do nothing. Because of hurricane Sandy only got one day of sun all week. Not much to do when it rains. People would hang in the lobby. Last call at the lobby bar is 11:30. Hugh variety at the buffet. The staff is very attentive to your needs and are always happy to help.
Only a few downfalls.The nightly entertainment. High school quality not a five star resort. If you are in a villa you will either have to walk alot or call for transportation. To get to the beach you have to take an elevator or walk quite a few stairs. If you have a room not on the ocean side of the main resort then your room looks over the back staff service area.

Friendly workers, great food, pristine landscaping, beautiful beaches.

Easy transfer and quick check-in, in fact the best ever. Everything about our week here was top-notch. It came highly recommended, and in turn, we are doing the same. The food, the service, our room was all absolutely fabulous. If there was something missing, the entire staff would absolutely bend over backwards to make anything happen. We have travelled extensively but I cannot say anything to do this destination the compliments it deserves. Fabulous week and I have never been more sad to leave. It is nice that the resort is secluded so you don't have the locals trying to sell you things non-stop! This destination is also not for people who are looking for a non-stop party. We LOVED the peace, seclusion and absolute relaxation on this particular vacation. Would not hesitate to go back at any time in the future.

Great resort, staff, accomodatiions, beachs,food, excursions.
Evening entertainment left a lot to be desired. Surely they could bring in some decent entertainment.

this hotel is great for relaxing, beaches and pools are beautiful. Scenery is great. Very hilly resort, so be prepared for lots of uphill and down hill climbs. the resort does offer transportation at any time, and the wait is minimal. Internet serivce is very limited and sporadic. Room is very clean and huge! Very private balcony with lots of space and comfortable furniture, good for an afternoon nap! Beautiful bathroom with 2 sinks and big jacuzzi good for apres beach clean up! Good housekeeping service most of the time, 1 or 2 days no service. Some nasty smells around the beach pool noted. Food at the buffett is very good and varied daily. Breakfast was my favourite, omelette station,fresh fruit, pastries etc. Service at the buffett and all of the bars is excellent and they go out of there way to attend to each and everyone. a la carte is not worth the wait to make reservations for.
Night life is very minimal. Entertainment area is outdoors, so if raining, no entertainment at night. Really nothing else to do at night, no disco, casino etc. Very quiet, no one bothers you or tries to sell you anything in a pushy manner. Shopping requires a booked trip to the mainland, 2 shops at the resort, prices are reasonable.
Really nice resort, beautiful place, just needs some nightlife or other activities at night to entertain guests.

Disappointed with paying extra for the golden club as it was not worth it. The description of the golden club benefits were misleading. There was no advantage to the golden club!

Overall great hotel! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Cayo Levantado really is a dream hotel. It is a step beyond the other Bahia Principe properties, but you do pay a premium for this. The beaches are so-so from a snorkelling perspective, but they are pretty quite. This is a relaxation resort NOT a party one.

The resort was overrated, hotel, restaurants and services. A three-four star resort, definitely NOT FIVE star resort.
The natural settings are just BEAUTIFUL.
However the hotel and the services were way below expectations:
1. Room was clean and the cleaning ladies did a very good job, however:
• It rained in the room;
• Jacuzzi tub didn’t function;
• No ventilation in the bathroom;
• Toilet didn’t work properly;
• The shower was badly designed and flooded the bathroom floor;
• We had bad air coming through ventilation system foe couple of days;
• Balcony lights didn’t work;
• The Safety box had problems however it was fixed;
• We asked for a wake-up call in the morning we left however the operator forgot to call us;

2. Buffet restaurants were disappointing:
• The buffet restaurant on the beach is bad, bad, bad; Bad service, bad food.
• The buffet restaurant in the hotel was better, plenty of food; however not very tasty; the meat was hard and chewy; the service not very good.
• Only one small bar on the beach;
• Three a-la-cart restaurants which were OK, just OK, nothing exciting.

3. The animation team tried very hard to please us all and the shows were OK. The performers worked very hard however the resources (equipment) were inadequate: an improvised theatre with bad sound system.

This place really exceeded my expectations. This is truly the best I have ever seen in the Dominican Republic and matches any vacation experience I have elsewhere when it even costed more.

A quaint and charming hotel. Exceptional service, clean and wonderful food. Not much night life, but perfect for some R&R.

We had a wonderful vacation here. Clean spacious suite with a lovely view of the ocean. Great place if you want to get away from it all. We will definately love to go back.

Great resort for relaxing.

Service excellent. Chambres luxueuses et vue superbe à partir de la terrasse des villas. Nourriture variée et d'excellente qualité au buffet. Avons pu prendre tous nos repas à l'extérieur sur une terrasse magnifique faisant en sorte que les restaurants étaient moins attirants. Les plages ne sont pas très grandes pour les longues marches, mais la beauté de celles-ci vient compenser largement. Notre préférée offrait des vagues impressionantes et était très tranquille. Le peu de chambres (moins de 200) en fait un site aussi très agréable.

We had the most amazing time! When we got to the resort we found they had upgraded us in honour of our 30th Anniversary. Our room was out of a dream!

Overall Excelent

Travelled Sept 10-17 to the most beautiful resort in DR. The staff were amazing, the room was beautiful. The food was the best we have ever had at a Caribbean resort. Service in all restaurants & by all staff was excellent. I would definately revisit this resort and highly reccommend it. The only people who would not enjoy this resort is night time partiers. It is not really for the young folk who enjoy nightlife. We were in bed by 11 every night so we could be up by 6am and enjoy every day to its fullest....

Excellent hotel - so far our best vacation.

Just got back from 2 weeks at this amazing place. Food was great, room was great, staff were great.....will go back soon!

The hotel was beautiful and the location was a dream. Nothing to do but sit back, relax and enjoy. Not the place to be if you get antsy sitting still for too long. Service was inconsistent. Food was good. The buffet had a lot of selections. The a la carte restaurants were a nice option but the food itself was not great. The room (ours was a deluxe junior suite) was giant, clean and exceeded our expectations. The only negative was that it was a little too dark. In honesty I think the room was a little too large for us. I wish we would have saved the money and went for the level just below to only a junior suite.
