amazing hotel, great people, very clean,well kept, amazing food, would return.

we had a fantastic time,only issue we had was no warnings about swimming areas the grassy areas are full of urchins and things that could hurt.they need more seating in the nightly entertainment area. food was great drinks great most service great.there are 2 young staff in the world cafe that sing for guests at breakfast,they should do it all the time they are fantastic.

This resort is absolutely stunning. From the moment we arrived until the time we had to leave the service, the people the location everything was fantastic.

My husband and I really enjoyed our vacation at Secrets St James. The staff was very attentive and the resort was excellent. The food was great and the beach was nice.

Nous avons passé une belle semaine en amoureux. Nous avions réservé au Club préférence. Amplement de chaises à notre disposition. Nous nous sommes prélassés sur un "lit" au bord de la piscine toute la semaine. Les cocktails sont excellents, la nourriture est excellente et le personnel est très sympathique.

La chambre est passeblement correct, rien de luxueux...

Pour le souper, les restaurants sont à la carte seulement; aucun buffet :(

Il est impossible de prendre de longue marche sur la plage; petite plage très rocailleuses...

Pour le prix, on s'attendait à beacoup plus !

What an amazing hotel , beautiful grounds , warm and cool pools , great food , neat clean rooms , some of the friendliest employees I have ever met , planning out trip back next winter !!

From the moment of arrival the Hotel staff greeted you like family, I gained a new respect for the people of Jamaica. Everyone at Secrect St James was fabulous, the food was great, service at this hotel was amazing, will go back. Going to miss the jerk chicken severed on the beach.. going to miss everyone, hope to be back soon. Thanks for a great vacation... Yeah mon!!

Secrets St. James/Orchid is second to only one in Jamaica and that one is reserved strictly for celebrities. Regardless, you will be treated like a star and with everything included from food to drink to admittance into the night clubs with no cover and no reservations necessary at any of the fine restaurants on the campus, it is one vacation that you will not regret. The food is all fine quality and fresh made-to-order, the drinks are unending and with no limitations to style of drink or type of alcohol, the bar is likely where you'll find yourself daily! and restaurants are clean, breezy, and very welcoming and there is so much to do just at the hotel, you will run out of time before you do it all. I can't wait to return again and experience it all one more time.

This is a nice resort with great rooms and immaculate grounds. Everything else is average at best. You wont be disappointed but you wont be "wowed" either...Everything is okay, not great but for what they charge value is lacking....lastly the last 2 days of our trip they were building cabanas on the beach and despite complaints by many beach goers, they continued to hammer away, ALL DAY LONG, that is not what a luxury resort offers its guests who pay a premium. Why not build the cabanas somewhere else in the resort and hammer all you want and then bring them over to where they need to go. Really inconsiderate and unacceptable on thier part

We had the best time here.The staff was great. The food was pretty good. The beds were super compfy. There was tons of activities provided and lots of night time entertainment. We would definately come here again.

Location in relation to Airport is excellent, the concierge and wait staff are outstanding. Maid service was acceptable. The day maid prepped room as expected, night service not provided as promised. beach and pool are fantastic.Food is good, long waits for service and seating.Overall, a great Vacation.

Upgraded due to overbooking ( nice )

We spent this past weekend Sept 30 through until Oct 3 at PC St James. We were welcomed with a smile by Lisa. She was the only one in the PC receiving guests and there were 2 sets of couples. It didn't seem very personal since she checked both couples in at once. She asked if we'd like a drink which eventually came as we were headed for the room.

We got to our room which was beautiful. It had all the amenities that you need. (sunscreen SPF 15, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shampoo, conditioner, razor, shaving cream etc) The safe was a nice large safe (fit my purse), had no problems with battery life. The closet is fixed with a motion light when you open the closet and in there you will find an excellent hairdryer, slippers, iron, and ironing board. The only downfall was the mosquitos that were in the room, and we were unsure of how they were getting in.

We spent the afternoon at the Barracuda bar since it was raining upon arrival, but made the most of that afternoon. Our first night we had dinner at the world buffet, it was good, enough variety to choose from.

We got up early about 6:30am from an awesome sleep, since the King Sized bed was very comfortable. We went to breakfast at the World buffet which served your usual breakfast foods. We then spent the day on the beach until it rained then we went to lunch at the Seaside Grill. We weren't that thrilled at what that menu had to offer, but different tastes for different people. Since it rained we went to the Marlin Bar where Godfrey was helpful in ensuring a good time, trying out different drinks on us.

Saturday night we to to the Italian Portofino, it was excellent, great food and atmosphere. Afterwards we went to the show, which was the in houseband (which the singer wasn't that great), and then another band came on (not sure of what that bands name was) but they were excellent.

Sunday we were up early again, went to the beach, mu husband went snorkelling which he found to be excellent. Again a storm came in at 2ish and we went to lunch at the World Buffett, which again had a great selection. We fimally found the Jerk Chicken Cart, and like previous comments he is around the Wild Orchid side more, doesn't make it up the St James area to much. Sunday dinner we had pre booked prior to going at the Himitsu (cooking tables), it was a fun experience, but the cook was all over these 2 single girls which made him seem a little bit desperate as he went on, and on about them the entire meal. The food he cooked was excellent.

The service all round was excellent, we did tip, but nobody made you feel obligated to tip.

We didn't get to sit around the Piano Bar or go to the night club since we had very ealry mornings.

We didn't use the facilities in the PC buliding to eat or drink.

We sat around the PC pool on the Monday prior to heading out, the pool is very nice, clean and warm.

Overall if we stayed again we would stay on the Wild Orchid side since all the restaurants & entertainment are over that way...much for convinent. For what we needed we could have used the non PC rooms.

This was our 7th visit to Jamaica........our first at Secret's.....We have stayed in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Negril, the only major downfall that we had with Secrets is that it didn't feel the vibe of Jamaica......the resort to us was more Americanized for our liking.

It was a fantastic place for a couples getaway, it was just what we needed.

Hotel was gorgeous, but they don't clean very well there so don't expect a spotless room. Food was fantastic. You can eat at the a la carte's every day, no reservation required. Beach very small and lots of jellyfish where people swim.

Had a relaxing and romantic honeymoon at secrets and would go back in a heart beat.

Had a great time. The customer service was excellent and they did their best to accomodate us with whatever we wanted. My wife and I were celebrating our 5th year anniversary. I did not take our wedding certificate with us to prove that it was truely our anniversary. All I had was my wedding ring that had the dateengraved on the inside. They still approved it and got us a champagne breakfast, a discount on the spa treatment, and flowers every day in our bedroom.

Outstanding holiday at Secrets St. James. All staff were friendly and went out of their way to look after you. The food, restaurants,beaches and pools were very good.The fact it is only 20 minutes from the airport is a bonus.

I loved it. This is the best all inclusive I have ever been to.

Just that the Preferred Club Member is a TOTAL SHAM!!! The EXTRA FEE I paid for the Preferred Club is NOT worth it!!! Eveyone has access to it cause non of the staff ever asks for your room key to confirm that you're a preferred club member! The Preferred Club is TERRIBLY STRUCTURE! Wasted $400 for something everyone gets anyway!!!

Also the Restaurant DRESS CODES was ridiculous!!! Complusory long pant and closed shoes is so DUMB for Dining OUTSIDE!!! This is not a ship cruiseline with A/C... it's HOT in Jamaica... even at night.... !!! I Believe dressy shorts with a nice top (NOT CUTOFF TOP), open shoes would make the dining experience much more comfortable in the HOT weather.

We choose this resort for our honeymoon and we loved it!! Staff was awesome :) especially Leo one of the waiters for drinks at the pool. Never got a wake up call one morning and almost missed our excursion but that can happen anywhere. Beaches a little rocky in spots but nice overall. Food was superb!! Every restaurant was amazing! Room was georgous!! Would definitely go back again!

Too big; didn't know the Wild Orchid was a part of this complex.
Too noisy aropund the pool, with rowdy groups being obnoxious.
Room service staff forged signature; mangement was blase and didn't seem to care. Had prescription medication stolen from room.
Internet service too expensive. You may as well book into the Preferred Section for the little extras. It's actuallly a deal if you book into that section.
Spa is a great experience ( do go for the Secrets Exclusive facial!!)

I would not recommend this resort if you like peace and quiet at all times.
I would not go back there or recommend it to my friends. It is not a five star resort. I'd probably rate it a 4 Star. They need to seriously iron out their kinks. There's no excuse for overbooking or being indifferent to the guests.

The hotel was immaculate,service everywhere was excellent.This is one of the best vacations we were on.Would definetly recommend this hotel.

Très grand site avec beaucoup de chambres mais on ne se sent pas coincé.
Il faut se lever tôt pour avoir des chaises à la plage ou à la piscine.
Nourriture bonne, surtout le Jerk Chicken du Oceana le midi.
Personnel pour la plupart très gentil.
Piscine chauffé très agréable. Température de l'eau à la mer et extérieure excellentes.
Pas utilisé les services d'activités et d'excursions. Ce que nous avons aimé le plus, ce sont tous les repas pris à l'extérieur! Très beau séjour et rapport qualité-prix acceptable. Ne pas payer plus de 2000$, ce serait trop pour l'instant (manque encore de rodage).
Pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, le service wi-fi devrait être inclus(sinon c'est 90$us pour 7 jours). Bon voyage!

The hotel was very nice. Rooms are comfortable. The quality of food was quite disappointing and needs to improve a lot. There are not enough fresh and healthy choices available. Not everyone wants to eat fried and saucy food. Staff was often frustrated as supplies(in the restaurants and drinks on the beach) were low and guests were unhappy about that.
