This ,"all inclusive" vacation was
simply , fantastic. And we'll do it
all again next year.

The Palace was awesome, there was only one thing I was dissapointed with, I booked garden veiw and got a room with a veiw of the parking lot for the resort next to us.

We were overwhelmed with the hotel, room, service, restaurants, beach.. and could not find one thing to complain about... fantastic place. We had stayed in Riviera Nayarit on previous occasions but not at this resort and would definitely return on future vacations.

This place is fabulous. Very clean ,well maintained, a palace feel. Very victorian. Food is good, still a buffet. Food is very salty not sure why. Maids are always cleaning and sweeping. I made sure they got tipped as well as the cleaner constantly cleaning pool area Bathroom. Having a clean bathroom is important and it is nice to Notice their hard work by an occasional tip. No theft this trip. Free wireless and courtesy computer was Nice. Pool was warm and a lg even warmer pool. Beach is lovely for walking on.

We visited the Palace for our 10th wedding anniversary, November 2011 and decided to go back for Christmas/New Year's because we had such a wonderful time. Unfortunately, it was not the same experience. For our tastes...it was just way too loud at the pool with a guy on a microphone trying to get everyone into a party mood. We went to the Jalisco last Christmas and were hoping to have a more "civilized" environment at the Palace. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff are very accomodating and polite. The buffet could be changed up a bit for lunch.

This was our second visit this year to the Riu Palace. All in all a good two weeks. The weather was wonderful. High 20's and no rain! We love the area -- lots to do. Always a warm welcome when you arrive. Rooms are all quite similar. Had a partial oceanview with an extended balcony which allowed for wonderful views of the sunsets. Staff were very accommodating. Although the rooms are all equipped with coffee makers, the packets of coffee were awful! Ordered room service in the mornings. Coffee always arrived within 20 mins. The food on the buffet is good. Lots of selection for everyone. A la carte restaurants were nice but you need to book 3-4 days in advance. The entertainment in the evenings was nice but a little weak. If you are looking for nightlife this is not the place. Very quiet come midnight. The selection of wines has improved since our last visit. If you want premium spirits you need to request them otherwise you end up with the domestic bar brands. What we love about this hotel chain is it's consistency. What we love about this particular hotel is it's location. You can walk the beach for miles. The town of Bucerias is about a 40 minute walk and is a lovely quaint little village. We took the bus into Puerto Vallarta a number of times. Always felt safe. The Mexican people are very accommodating to tourists.
Will go back again!!!

A great experience ..

Right from the airport, where we were greated by friendly Sun Wing staff to the unexpected but exceptional welcome reception at the hotel (complete with roses for the ladies, choice of beer or margaritta and fresh fruit)the hotel exceed my expectations. Because the dinner buffet selection was tremendous every night, this hotel does not need alacarte restaurants, but thoroughly enjoyed them as well, especially the Pumpkin Soup appetizer & entrees at Krystal. Excellent pool-side drink/drink service. Plenty of cleaning staff always working hard to keep things 'spit & polish". Suggestions to hotel would be to have hooks on back of bathroom doors in the pool-area bathroom (to hang your beach bag or towel from) and blow dryers with a higher force/capacity in the rooms. Could they also have some kind of ashtrays available on the beach, as I noticed most smokers would butt their cigarette right into the sand (yuck)! I would highly recommend this hotel for couples of all ages. There is no disco which was no loss to us, so the hotel is fairly peaceful during the evenings we were then in late November.

Great food, very fancy place - rooms were exceptionally clean. The staff were all very friendly. We got roses upon arrival, and flowers for USA Thanksgiving as well :-)

Wonderful hotel, service was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful group of people. Loads of drinks and good food. You can walk for miles on the beach safely.

2nd time i've been and will definitely return for a 3rd visit. definite 5 star resort

One of the best vacation locations in Mexico I have ever tried.

Excellent hotel. Great service and good food. This was our second visit to this resort. Only problem was it was difficult to have facecloths left in our room.

It was outstanding we met the General Manager and Ramsay Santana who upgraded our rooms. It was our Anniversary and we had 2 very special anniversary dinners. The hotel has improved since the new General Manager has taken over. She is outstanding and very personable. I love the fact that we knew most of the hotel staff from previous years.
Cannot wait too return. Food was outstanding no matter where you go to eat

Great hotel for couples. The facility exceeded my expectations by far.

-this is the 2nd time my partner and I were with a Riu hotel, another pleasant trip again
-beautiful hotel; great service; great room; great food with great wine(I was actually pleasantly surprised that I was able to enjoy the Chillen and Spanish wine) Thank you!
-a couple of commends we have that are:
1. the Speciality restaurants:
only less than 1/2 full each time but somehow it was a hazzard to make a change when we needed to. We originally booked 3 nights but had to switch 1 reservation but we told that it was fully booked. However, we managed to get into the restaurant( by giving some $ to a couple of people whom made the reservation for us which we didn't mind paying at all) but we noticed that it was another less that 1/2 full in the restaurant when we were there for the whole dinner, what was the fully booked about at the beginning and was not able to switch the reservation??
- Sports Bar: why do such a nice 5 star hotel charges fee for the customers to play the pools and a couple of other games? even it only costs$ 3.00 per game, it is the principle to provide the hotel guests to enjoy playing some games while they are watching the sports.

We booked this holiday as a last minute trip so the value for money was excellent. We have stayed at the Riu Jalisco twice before but wanted to try the Pacifico to compare. I thought the service was better as there seemed to be more staff and the hotel was quietier as it's smaller. The rooms were larger and better kept as it was a much newer hotel. I would say that the dinner buffet was equally as good as the Riu Jalisco and the one a la carte restaurant we tried (steak house) was excellent. The only disappointment for me was the beach as it did not seem as 'clean' and have as fine sand as the other times I have visited (Dec & Jan) By 'clean' I mean that there were lots of bits of trees & plant matter along the oceans edge which I have never seen before. The debris may have been brought down from the streets by the rain due to September being the rainy season or just tidal. There was no garbage per se just plant matter making the beach look less pristine. There were jellyfish in the water which I know stung people, my husband included. This was a little worrisome as the stings can be very painful. Again, this could have been due to the tides at this time of year. I would certainly go back to this hotel as I love the Bay of Banderas where the hotel is situated, the weather and the staff.

Our 3rd Riu Palace experience and this was no different. HOTEL WAS PERFECT! Congrats to Riu for figuring out the recipe for success.

Food and service was great but the front desk very disorganized.

We arrived on May 6th 2011 @ night. The staff at the customer service welcomed every body with a smile and shampain. The manager Nicole Merz and an associate Ramsen Santana both of them were extemly helpfull.The Hotel surroundings, garden and atmosphere was very relexing,clean and spotless. Unlimeted Internet excess at the loby. ( It would have been great if it was in a room also.)Food was very good, Swiming pool was very very clean. Every night the entertainment was very entertaining and full of fun & veriety. The Staff at the different restaturants were very kind and concern and provided good services. I will defenately go back may be in December 2011. For me it was a dream come true vacation. Once again my very thanks to Nicole and Ramsen for all their help to give us a great time. I am very hard to please and I don't have any complain. We had a great time.

We found this hotel to be very clean. The staff were
great! The layout of the swimming pool made it a long distance to get to the beach. Their were no bathrooms near the beach.

Second time there, once in Dec. and in May. Fabulous both times! Excellent service, great entertainment staff, very clean, night shows good, 24 hour room service was great and prompt. If I would have to complain about something it would be that they should have a bathroom closer for those at the beach, internet access in the room, and wish it was closer to Puerto Vallarta but that is being very picky. Overall both vacations were great! Would go back again!!!

Was a wonderful trip just myself and my husband. We left the kids at home. The hotel was beautiful, service was excellent, rooms were clean and wonderful. Although we didn't have ocean view, we coudl still see the water and enjoy a drink on the deck. The beach was clean and immaculate, pool great and the service was unbelievable. The employees were happy and cheerful all the time and you can tell loved their jobs. We would most definately go back. And with our kids!

This was the second time coming to this resort, and it just gets better. It is a very well run resort. Clean, staff is amazing and helpful. You will not find a better serving staff anywhere... Julien was our server at the buffet, and he would see us coming and have our coffee and orange juice ready to go on the table. The pool was busy, and chairs were hard to find, but you could always find a chair on the beach. The food was amazing. Always something to eat for everyone. We traveled with teenagers, and they also loved it. I will go back to this resort, but would stay at any RIU. Weather was great, sunshine and more sunshine!

Slight design changes would have helped accessibility to the beach and restaraunts, but overall beautiful.

This resort was the BEST!! I have been to many resorts and this one surpasses them all. The service, food, friendliness, appearance and cleanliness was exceptional.

Our check in was seamless.

The staff was very attentive and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. There was nothing we could have asked for and not gotten.

We booked our excursions from our Sunwing rep who was very knowledgable and friendly.

I honestly can not think of one negative thing to say and would highly recommend the Riu Plalace Pacifico!
