This is in my opinion the nicest and cleanest beach in the Cayos. The food at the Ranchon is always top notch with fresh salad makings and the open grill with choices of meats and fish. The beach bar drinks and service are the best thanks to Jesus! The Spanish coffee in the lobby is the perfect start to your day. Last but not least the staff here are like family. Fantastic return home!

We have visited this beautiful resort since 2010. Since the first time we were felt in love with its beautiful and nice people. Here everyone treat you like family. The hotel is really very anywhere, even in the public washroom and all outside areas. It is true the resort is not so modern and new like other at region, but they're keep doing a maintenance work with love, looking after all our needs. The beach is a dream. Activities at beach, by the pool, at the lobby during the night l, but listen, it is not a kind of hotel for those one that look for more energy activities. The food is good, everyone can fine something of their liking, even if you are very demanding people, and also taking into account the inconveniences they have to face with supply chains in these difficult times for everyone and everywhere. We want to mention new friends we have made that have made our vacations fabulous: Ariel, Chino,Lea, Maite, Chocolate Mama, Any ffrom entertainment team, Adonis at the snack bar, and the rest there, the Prince Yanquiel. Nous avons voyagé au Melia Cayo coco pour se reposer, nous avons fait le bon choix, car il n'y a pas de discothèque, moyenne d'âge assez élevée, et c'est très tranquille. Le personnel est merveilleux et très attentionné ( Joel et Eddy au buffet) ( chocolate mama à l'anmation)
L'hôtel est très propre et bien entrenu ( en majorité). Notre chambre manquait de renovations et pas de pression d'eau / eau chaude dans la douche.
Immense plage à marcher, les algues ( pour le peu qu'il y a) sont ramassés tous les jours. Il y a assez de chaises pour tout le monde sans etre obligé de les réserver.

Les spectacles le soir sont merveilleux.

Pour la nourriture, toujours frais, nous n'avons pas manqué de rien, mais c'est redondant.

Everything at this resort has been great
The food is better than expected and nice restaurants ( you need to make reservations) the buffet is very good lots of selections.
The pool and beach are beautiful and the rooms are well maintained for Cuba .. we did see a cockroach which we didn't like otherwise the room was good. Staff are good ( especially Price) the resort is big and has interest access which is great. [Details]

Still rebounding from COVID

Our 4th time at the Melia Cayo Coco, first time back since 2020. Still suffering from supply chain issues; not as many food choices as usual, but they are trying to be creative; not as much fresh fruit as usual, but that could be due to time of year; we usually go early March. Lot of little things need attention, looking a little tired in places, but property is still beautiful. The stand alone a la carte restaurant was destroyed in last year's hurricane. Many familiar faces no longer there. Nice to see Joel, Yanelis, Beatrix and Celia again. New faces include Jennifer and Jose at the el mirador. Overall, though, still a great spot. Room was clean and quiet; only about 400 guests while we were there; beautiful beach and happy smiling staff. [Details]

As good if not better than pre-COVID

After our not very satisfactory first stay and a very unpleasant second stay after COVID restriction in two other resorts in Cuba, we hesitated to go back to our preferred resort in Cuba, i.e. Melia Cayo Coco where we had spent 6 times our vacation. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the resort has even improved services and customer care. Everything was perfectly looked after, including service in restaurants and bars, house keeping, cleanliness, amusing nightly entertainment and admirably helpful and hospitable staff. Whatever we needed was available on a timely manner and to our complete satisfaction. We were very impressed to see how the buffet restaurant on the new year's eve was organized including time and table allocation to guests without any waiting in a line to enter the restaurant and get a table. Briefly, we enjoyed every minute of our ten days stay there. Going back? Sure! [Details]

Perfectly organized in all aspects. Hotel was fully booked and some guests had to sta longer than planned. Hotel had made the necessary arrangements to lodge such guests. Amirable effort.

We preferred to have two queen beds but due to cancelled flights and guests not leaving as planed, it was not possible. Not a big deal. Next time I will put it as a requirement and I am sure it will be take care of.

Lovely place with incredible staff, especially Prince. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating with any requests. Private dinners were delicious and buffet had lots of options. Sensational, once again!

Just came back from another repeat vacation to this resort (Dec 13-20) and everything was absolutely perfect. This resort has it all, from a stunning beachfront, to a wide variety of delicious food, spectacular entertainment, super clean facilities, and immaculate grounds. But the number one reason why this hotel continues to excel and attract repeat guests is because of the staff. Every single employee here has a beautiful smile from ear to ear, is easy to talk to, and is extremely genuine, caring, and comforting. Some of the kindest, warmest, friendliest individuals you will ever meet, all beautiful inside and out. For me, as I am sure is the case with other repeat guests, MCC is a true home-away-from-home paradise.

The Buffet “Del Sol”, and both the International and Mediterranean a la carte dinners were delicious. I was invited to the Loyal Returning Guest dinner at El Ranchon and had to opportunity to meet other returning guests. The service, food, and drinks were superb. This resort is #1 in Cayo Coco. We had an amazing time. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne. After checking in and going to our room we walked the grounds. This resort is just the right size. The first thing we noticed was the grounds were meticulously kept. In our travels we met two grounds keepers named Rolando and Joel. They were very friendly and more than happy to help us out. They suggested things to see and places to go. Our room was on the lagoon. The room was super clean and had a great view. We had gorgeous sunrises and sunsets everyday. The woman who cleaned our room was named Maria. She made us feel welcome and kept our room spotless. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from. We tried them all and were never disappointed. There is a beach bbq on the weekends. The wait staff are very good at their jobs. They remember what you drink and what you like to eat. Which amazed me because there is alot of people roaming around. The beach has crystal clear water and white sand. There are cayaks and paddle boats to use. We went on a catamaran ride. You can go out to the coral reef and snorkel for a small fee. We liked Melia Cayo Coco so much we are returning in the new year with our family. I love Melia Cayo Coco ❤ [Details]

Our third visit. Close to the airport. Beautiful beach, uninhabited to the east, opening to a splendid bay with calm waters to the west. We had an upper sea view room. The gardens were serene and well tended. All our needs were quickly and efficiently catered to. The Mediterranean restaurant was our favorite, and we enjoyed the return clients' supper and the Cuban Day BarBQ. Our special favorite was the incredible live music all day, with Combos, Solos, Rock bands and Jazz bands.

Relaxing vacation

We usually travel 5* Mexico but amazing deal came up for Cayo Coco. Melia was a good choice for us (active couple in early 70's). Resort is a 4* Cuba which is more of a 3.5* Mexico. Rooms were very clean and comfortable (we were in the lagoon section), housekeeping excellent. Buffet restaurants were good variety each day, but usually same every meal. The reservations restaurants were quit good, the fresh fish was excellent. Beach was amazing! nice long walks in both directions, not crowded at all, lots of beach chairs and palapas, ocean was great for swimming and very nice sand, great for walking too. Entertainment was great, the lobby bar excellent meeting place before/after dinner, evening shows were better than average. Michael Jackson show stood out from all others, high energy music and dancing. Will return again for a quick get-away. Would not recommend for a longer term stay more than a week if you are active. Another fabulous vacation at the Melia Cayo Coco

We just came back from an amazing 2 week stay at the Melia Cayo Coco, it was our 3rd time there. This was an extra special trip as we decided to make this home away from home our symbolic Wedding. Huge thank you to Gippsy Lopez Reyes for organizing the wedding. She was incredible in making this day one of the best days of our lives. Everything from the decorations (thank you Daniel Silot )to the pictures, cake champagne ( Yoa) was more than we could have expected. Also thank you to Yuris Valdes for supplying the amazing music to Yanquiel Martínez Martínez (Prince) for reading the wedding vows. the staff went above and beyond with a beautiful dinner in the gazebo at the pool with Joseph as the server. The entire vacation was the best we ever experienced with our friends Ridel Rodriguez and Son Del Rio Cuba and their fun music and dancing at the lunch beach restaurant. More than you can eat selection of food and drinks everywhere and of course our friend Yusmelkys Oreillys who goes above and beyond to make everyone feel special. There is always something going on with entertainment everywhere. From my buddy Pedro Cong Hernández (Chino) who gets everyone going with activities and beach volleyball everyday, ping pong and soccer to dancing on the beach with Yaneisy Morozo and Lea. Thank you Maite Solano and Yandy Rodríguez Quincoses for afternoon and evening entertainment of pool games, dancing lessons and nightly shows in the lobby and by the pool.
Thank you Liusveydis Leiva Pitters (Liz). You are amazing at what you do. She does not delegate, she actually does not leave her work until everyone is taken care of.
Marco Mazzucchelli, you need to know what an amazing staff you have. Melia Cayo Coco-a lovely place to spend a week

This is our second time coming to the adults only resort. They offer a lot of value for the price. Rooms are big with a balcony and very quiet. Wifi is very good, easy to get in your room and I could watch Netflix on my laptop. Cats wander the resort and lots of people love to feed and cuddle. Beach is awesome and easily can walk for 2 hrs, water is warm, lots of loungers and palapas on the beach. Massages were excellent and the catamaran snorkelling excursion was well worth it. Food was typical Cuban mostly okay. They do have seafood each evening plus pasta and chicken. A lot of things were not to my taste but I had no problems finding something I liked each evening. The 24 hr coffee snack bar at the pool was great - hamburgers, poutine, fresh fruit smoothies and more. There is a lobster lunch at the beach restaurant every friday (all inclusive). I would suggest bring your own condiments (mustard, relish, hot sauce) as they have just ketchup and mayo. Also bring your own tea, the black tea there is okay but otherwise not much of a selection). Beautiful Resort

I visited Cayo Coco with my family and we all had a fantastic time. The staff are the highlight of this resort, always helpful and friendly. Victor and Lea were a staple every morning with great Yoga sessions and always a smile. Prince (Yanquiel) was always available to help and chat and make us feel welcome. Great food, staff and beach

The sand and water are beautiful - the sand is white and soft and the water turquoise and translucid. The staff is very friendly and smiling. The best part of our day is dancing at the ranchon at lunchtime with the live cuban music and the employees who dance with us. I have been to Cuba many times, this hotel is standard Cuban fare. It is likely when it opened it was a 5 star but now I would say a 4. The hotel grounds are quite nice, (except for the rooms on the water - they were run down and the water was very foul smelling - definitely not worth the extra money to stay there at all) the pool is a good size and the ocean is quite beautiful and great for going for long walks. The room was clean but somewhat worn down, the A/C was noisy and not very effective, and there was no water pressure at all. The food was ok, supply was definitely an issue. The staff we mostly very good. I wont likely be back. [Details]

Nous aimerions que vous sachiez que nos chambres lagon sont très appréciées, et que la plupart des visiteurs les trouvent confortables, douillettes, et avec une bonne ambiance. L'inverse se produit lorsque la marée se retire, où alors l'eau du lagon est déversée en pleine mer, fournissant les nutriments qui maintiennent la biodiversité des zones côtières à partir de toute cette connectivité entre les écosystèmes. Nous nous excusons pour tous inconvénients que vous avez pu avoir dans votre chambre, et nous espérons que dans ce cas vous l'avez informé à notre service à la clientèle, afin qu'ils ont pu agir sur la solution, améliorant la qualité de votre séjour. Just got home from a wonderful week here with my hubby and brother and sister-in-law! Will definately be returning! Amazing staff and management! My husband had 2 falls due to his Multiple Sclerosis and he was taken care of immediately by the warm staff and nurse and doctor on site. My husband and I made Melia Cayo Coco our destination to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we have been there four times prior to Covid.
Our experience was fantastic!
The staff did everything to make our stay at Melia Cayo Coco the best experience ever.
We enjoyed the food, there was a few things missing, but always found great food to eat.
The beaches are exceptional!

We had a great stay at Melia Cayo Coco this week. Everyone was very nice and we got to know the entertainment staff quite well including Victor, Lea, and “Chocolate Mamma” who were always so friendly and encouraging us to join in on some games. We also spent each breakfast and lunch at the buffet where Beatriz was so smiley and bright, it made the mornings so pleasant! Overall everything was good, the drinks were cold, people friendly and the beach was fantastic. Would definitely recommend Melia Cayo Coco! [Details]

Just returned from a week at Meia Cayo Coco and have only one complaint "the week went too fast" A lovely small, clean, well maintained resort with great staff from the reception staff, to wait staff, to cleaning staff, to gardeners and animation and diving staff.
