Great stay but too many smokers

Great resort, stayed in Select and wouldn't book anything else. Nice Gardenview room with a decent view of the water as well. Scenery beautiful. Food was very good. Probably the best service team I've ever encountered. Beach was lovely, waves rough at times (but that's part of why we chose Puerto Plata).

The resort is nice, my room wasn't one of the newly upgraded ones, but was still ok, I liked the views and the two beaches are very spacious. Nice quick access too town that I felt very safe in with my two kids under the age 12. The pools were very nice and the food was good. I'd go back and met a lot of people that were on their 2nd, 3rd, time back.

Nice place to visit

Overall the hotel is nice. Rooms are well cleaned and water bottles supplied daily. The location of the resort is a great benefit, can walk out into town and enjoy other entertainment or restaurants if you desire. Access to Playa Sosua (great beach) only 10 minute walk.
