We loved every part of our vacation. The staff was amazing, the room was awesome, the entertainment had a great variety, and the food was delicious... we couldn't have asked for more. We recommend catching the shows at the neighboring properties (the Mexican Fiesta and the Origin show were both spectacular and so much fun). 10 days for our family was perfect. We enjoyed the 1.5 hour drive from the airport in the aircon van with no stops, so we definitely recommend doing a private transfer (other guests mentioned it took them 5 hrs on the transfer buses). The room was clean at the first look but I found small ants in the plug in and on a bed. Staff was friendly, location pretty far from the ocean, but within 10 min you could reach the beach by their minibuses. The phone in the room sometimes doesn't work. Bathroom has a spa tub, but we didn't use it because in front of the hotel there was a pool with the spa. The resort is located pretty far from the airport that caused a lot of problems, especially on the way back home. Overall impression is good, we celebrated our birthdays with a bottle of Champaign provided by the hotel. Restaurants provide a good food, but every day pretty the same. Beaches are clean, white sand, but the sea bottoms are with stones and pits, you need to be careful to walk in. [Details]

This was our first experience with an all inclusive resort. When we arrived, the front desk staff were very friendly and got us checked in quickly. The rooms were very nice. The a la carte restaurant for all three meals was excellent. the food was great and the staff were very friendly. The amenities here are great, from the main pools to the jacuzzi pools. the Gourmet restaurants are fantastic. The entertainment on the patio and in the theater is first rate. The cleaning staff did a great job cleaning the room. Overall, the staff here ear very friendly and alway willing to help you out [Details]

Mexico is a beautiful place. This resort looks like a five-star resort on the outside, but the service was certainly not even a 2 star. I travel frequently to resorts and never have I ever experienced such horrific service and when trying to bring up issues to them it's so disgusting how nothing was addressed or resolved I would not recommend this to anybody, and I will be telling everybody that I know to avoid this hotel chain [Details]

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff was professional and friendly. Grounds were well maintained and rooms, public bathrooms were clean. Food was good. It was disappointing to find out that Bahia Cobe has a very small and crowded portion of the beach. We were not informed by staff at the time of the check-in that we have an option of purchasing extra access to other 2 resorts beaches and restaurants, Acumal and Tulum. It would have been beneficial for us if we knew that from the beginning. It is 15$ per person per day. It was well worth it for us! We loved Tulums beach! We didn't mind the walk. [Details]

I travelled solo, so for me it was actually paradise that I didn't need to cook or take care of anything. I felt safe in the resort, all staff were very nice, friendly, kind and hard working. I do not have bad experience with anything, I felt comfortable in the big room, which was clean and supplied with water every day. The bed was hard and comfy for me, the bathroom was big, clean and nice. The resort is huge, so you could run around, they have cycling, aqua aerobic, volleyball, evening programs etc. FOOD! For me, who is cooking every day, I appreciate the variety of food and I really enjoyed it, salads, seafood, pastas, sushi, burgers, guacamole, variety of eggs, donuts, desserts, wine, beer, cocktails etc. - fantastic! Swimming pools have bars around, clean towels and stalls where the staff offer trips to snorkeling etc. There is swimming pool also for kids with safeguard on duty, but parents still have to look after their kids. Resort cars will bring you to the other hotels or to beach. The beach is maintained every day, safeguards are on duty and bars are open based on season, but mostly 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. My overall experience is great, and I would definitely stay here next time. If I had to give our stay at this resort an overall number, I would give it 9 out of 10. We've stayed at another Bahia Principe in the past and this one surpassed the expectation (which was not low). If you're 'beach people', maybe not the place for you as we thought the beach was quite cramped compared to other vacation spots we've visited. But everything else about this place is amazing, from the cleanliness, the food to the customer service. We will happily return [Details]

Great customer service, clean, entertainment crew and shows were great, food was delicious. Excursions that were offered were interesting (the Tulum/Cenote/Snorkeling/Lunch tour we took was amazing).
The weak points
Air conditioning was either not present or not working in 2 of the A la Cartes and the buffet a couple times. Coba's "section" of the beach was very small, busy and was not that appealing to us (we're more pool people anyway so that wasn't a big deal)

We had a great experience with the hotel, its staff, the food, and the entertainment. No complaints at all with the tour and hotel itself. However, we did not have a good experience with the Bahia Privilege club at all. They are basically a travel agent inside the hotel that tries to lure the travellers booked by other agencies to book their next vacation with them. They made a lot of false offers to us to grab our attention (the agent said free dolphin show, free snorkelling session and VIP breakfast) for a next-day tour. However, the next day we were given a 90-minute presentation that contained TALK TALK and TALK and nothing else! So beware, if they gave you the same offer, don't waste your vacation time as it's just a pure lie. [Details]

We had originally wanted to book Bahia Principe Grand Tulum because it underwent a redo in 2020 but the price went up and we picked the Coba instead. I am glad we did. We loved the Coba location. It is set on a smaller piece of property so everything you want is close by. The staff work so hard and are so friendly from the serving staff in the buffet, to the waiters in the a la cartes, and the entertainment crew. If you cannot find something you like at the buffet then there is something wrong because there is such a variety; hot food station with carved meats, pasta bar, mexican section, salad bar, sushi, bread section, and dessert bar, etc... The shows are amazing, not mickey mouse and you can go to the a la cartes at Tulum as well. If you want a beach nearby then Tulum would be your better choice as you need to catch a shuttle to the beach. We didn't mind as we prefer sitting by the pool. Swim up bars are nice as well. Try their traditional colourful drink the 'Riviera Maya' or my favorite 'the mud slide'. I would recommend the Coba to family and friends, we really enjoyed our holiday. Thank you to all the staff at the Coba !!! [Details]

Overall everything was okay, but not wow or perfect. Almost every day we had to ask for more towels as the housekeeping kept leaving different amounts of towels every day. We booked a room for 4 (since we have 2 small kids) and we got the same room as everyone else, but the beds instead of being put together as a big bed (which is what everyone else got), we got the beds separated, which made it very hard to sleep on. Within the first couple of days we put the 2 beds together, but they were easily pulling away from each other. Not the most comfortable sleep for sure. The food was good, but I would have preferred more fruits. All drinks seemed too sweet for my taste but I would recommend you try the Iceberg. Staff did not have the most amazing customer service, but nice. Internet did not work all the time. Their app was a bit messed up and kept showing someone else's name on our reservation. Internet was okay but needed their help to be able to connect; and also they have very limited devices per room. One last thing, my 6 year old came back with COVID. I only point out the negatives but there were lots of good things too, but I want you to make your decision based on what could go wrong and if you are okay with that, then you will enjoy this stay for sure. Overall we enjoyed it, but it is up to you what you are willing to accept and what not. [Details]

We had a great time at Bahia Coba with a 18month old and 3 year old. We asked for a connecting room with grandma but they didnt have any available but they made sure our rooms were next to each other and on the ground floor to make it easier with our stroller. The resort is big but we walked everywhere, even to the beach. We prefered walking with our big double stroller than folding it each time we had to take the shuttle. Lots of choice at the buffet. Food was great. Beach was amazing and cleaned by staff all the time. The pools are amazing, there were many different ones and we quickly found our favorite one, a bit quieter where we could play with the kids. Maybe they had many cancellations because of covid-19, but it still looked busy and we never had to wait long for a kid highchair. Entertainement outside the lobby was great every night. We never made it for the 9pm show inside because of the kids. It was also one 1hour from Cancun airport, and not 2h as seen on other reviews. we would definitely go back. [Details]
in the first 4 hour i slipped on the back stairs of the main lobby due to rain, and broke my ribs, after reporting the incident to the manger, his comment was, i can't control the whether. another gentleman said he reported 3 incidents where someone slipped, as i was talking to the manger a gentleman slipped and feel and hurt his back badly, the manager went and got him ice for the bruising on his back. nothing was done to compensate me or anyone else, so i gave up. Overall we had an enjoyable time - however rhere are a few key factors that would keep me from coming back to this resort. Food - food was a major disappointment. Buffet menu was more or less the same with slight variations each day, it was a struggle to find anything that tasted fresh or flavourful. Even the A la carte restaurants we ate at (Mediterranean/Brazilian/don Pablo) we sub par at best. Was only able to eat the fresh made pastas and breakfast omelette, had to drink to fill my belly most days. [Details]
