St Lucia

this is a very clean and friendly hotel. just a few min. from the airport. The food is so good. Everyone speaks english they are very thankful for being back to work after covid. they keep the pools very clean. their is a family side of the resort and a adult side only there is entertament every night a theme night. We were their for the Super Bowl and they made is very speial for everyone Had so much fun. We would go again. There is always a nice breeze you can always see the Ocean from all rooms. the rooms were very clean.

I love how this resort is small. We were able to completely relax . The area is out of this world gorgeous. I felt safe walking to town by myself and also power walking and running in the area in the morning. The drinks were cold, the ocean was fabulous, the room was clean, the food was great , although they did run out of some meat at supper. It was a wonderful trip.

We paid for the premium Hideway/Diamond package and what we received was not even close. Service is average at best, it is sporadic, incomplete, inconsistent and very disappointing. St. Lucia wants to be a preferred vacation destination, but it needs to work much harder on customer service if it wants to charge these rates - there are MUCH BETTER options for less $. Getting here from the airport is 2 hard HOURS of terrible roads.

This is a 2 star hotel but they misrepresented it as a 4 star with 4 star price. Staff were often unfriendly. Only 1 restaurant with very limited menu and also a very small buffet. No hot water x2 days. Old hotel in sketchy area with car alarms going off every night. The pool area bathroom was disgusting. Too many bad things to list.

The staff were very friendly. Rooms were good and housekeeping was very good. Shuttle service between the sister hotels was frequent. Alacarte choices at the sister hotels were good. Not on the beach but access to one of the best beaches at a sister hotel was great. Staff always cleaning.

Nice Quiet small resort with great service but could use more restaurant choices and a few upgrades for a Sandals (4 star /not 5 star )

Great vacation for couples, honeymooners or adults

Good location, staff friendly and helpful. No Mosquioes. Our second time at this facility but our fifth time at the sister facilities. Shuttle service to the other sister facilities was good.

Spent a week at Coco Palms after reading the very positive reviews. Overall, it didn't live up to its billing. On the positive side, the people who worked at the hotel, and St Lucians in general, were genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming. The cost was affordable ($1300 CAN per person including taxes, all inclusive, from Toronto), the room reasonably maintained (but outdated, on the small side, no balcony), the housekeeping staff did a good job, and the air conditioning was effective and quiet. However, it's a small hotel with cramped grounds located within a town. If you're looking for a beach vacation this may not be the place - the hotel is not on the beach. To get to it we either had to walk 10-15 minutes through the town, or take a more direct 5-10 minute walk down a very unpleasant, garbage strewn road bordered on one side with a high, concrete wall, topped with barbed wire and cemented in broken glass, and covered in graffiti, some of it obscenity laced. The beach itself is clean, coral sand with clear water, about 1 km long and scenically located within a bay. Unfortunately, there's not a stick of shade and the hotel provides no beach chairs or beach umbrellas. About a third of the beach dominated by a closed, boarded up, 70s style resort, complete with over grown shrubs, weeds, and empty swimming pools. We were told it closed about 10 years ago. It lends a sad, dilapidated air to a large portion of the beach. Coco Palms has a swimming pool, a little greenish tinged but surrounded by pretty shrubs and flowering plants. During our week it was a magnet for lots of boisterous children - not surprising - it's only 4 ft deep. We went all inclusive but it's not buffet style (except for breakfast). You must be seated by a server and can order from a limited menu (some items extra) - the meals were good, especially the seafood, but we exhausted the menu by about day 5. Juices are from a can, and little fresh local fruit, except for bananas. We're still puzzled by the consistently positive reviews. Most of the hotel's customers were from St Lucia, other nearby islands, the UK and Europe. Perhaps they don't have the variety of affordable choices that we're fortunate to have when traveling out of Toronto, but for us, there are many places in the Caribbean that offer better value.
