Honolulu

The view was spectacular from the 18th floor. The rooms were clean, unless you moved the furniture. The deck hadn't been cleaned in months but had newer furniture. The bathroom was sparse and mediocre, the shower head was placed for someone 4 ft tall haha. Very noisy street at night with delivery trucks, garbage trucks and hydrolic buses coming at all hours. Don't plan on getting to your room or venue in a hurry the elevator has an antiquated computer system that easily gets overloaded with floor requests. The check out times don't correspond with the flights and there are always traveller's with all their belongings hanging out and changing in the lobbies? The staff are friendly and very helpful and the pool area and bar are awesome but not enough seating to accommodate the number of guests. Holding a chair with a towel for an entire day when you spend 1 hr at the pool is simply redonculous. $60 a day to reserve dirty day beds that never get used is a waste of space.

Because of the pandemic and other issues, we hadn't travelled in about 5 years, One week at the Princess Kaiulani was a gentle entry back into international travel for us. The weather was beautiful, it was easy and very low stress,

We stayed for a week at Alohilani for our honeymoon and have zero negative things to say about the hotel. Check in was quick and easy, our room was very clean and the view was amazing. We hadn't booked anything to do before arriving, so the next morning we went to concierge and Kim booked up our whole week for us, she had lots of fun and exciting suggestions for us and she explained where to go for each excursion. We booked the Longboard club access and would highly recommend it. Hawaii doesn't have all-inclusive but this was the next best thing. We ate big breakfasts every morning and it was sooo good, we rarely had to eat lunch during the day. We often used the evening snacks/charcuterie as our dinner. The servers (especially Kumiko) always remembered us and what we liked to drink and were super attentive to anything we needed. Since we were on our honeymoon, we were gifted some champagne in our room one evening which was a special treat. Housekeeping only came every other day (which they told us at check in) so if we needed more towels or anything we were able to get them at the front desk. ALSO they let you take towels from the hotel out to the beach or on your excursion and then drop them off to be cleaned when you get back to the hotel which we loved. It was our first time in Hawaii and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we come back!

Hotel is a historic victorian style building situated in the centre of very busy downtown Waikiki. Our room overlooked the courtyard with a bit of an Ocean view with a balcony. The room had a large king bed as described, which was too soft, the safe had a malfunction and needed repair, had to ask for another coffee maker since it leaked, and the phone jack was corroded and had to be replaced for the phone to work. Service was excellent in repairing all of the above mentioned items, almost lost the use of a safe since we were told to move rooms or live without a safe if it couldn't be fixed. Bathroom needs to be updated for the price package we paid for 14 days and water pressure was low. Entertainment was great in the hotel, nightly in the lounge, and by the Beachside Bar. Drinks and food over priced in the hotel and everywhere in Waikiki. Pool too small, filled with children all of the time so we rented an umbrella on the beach most of the time. Hardly could get a lounge chair near the pool. People saved the chairs by 6 a.m. and left them with their blankets on them. This should have been monitored better by the pool side workers. Concierge service was great and available. Service desk was wonderful. Small laundry facilities in the basement to use if needed. All in all, had a very nice time at the hotel but would choose another one next time we go with less families, larger pools (one for the kiddies), more lounge chairs.

we had a wonderful time there,close to the beach,a full kitchen and great views,the kitchen was fully stocked with all you would need/want to cook,the pool deck also had BBQs you could use for $2.00 for an hour,the pool was nice and 1 of the hottubs was hot,there were some issues with our condo,but resolved with communication

I can say that location is good. Staff was good. Bathroom, kitchenette needs renovation. As I opened the kitchen cabinet the upper door fell on my hand. I hope that all rooms in this hotel are not in the same condition.

This is a wonderful hotel on the beach. It is a calm oasis in the bustle of Waikiki with beautiful gardens, lovely, welcoming staff and beautiful rooms in the heritage part of the property which overlooks the gardens.

Great...No problems whatsoever.

All very good other than a couple of the desk staff (female) who were kind of cold. Aaron on the concierge desk and his assistants were most friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was pricey, but still friendly. The maid service was very good, and again friendly.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff is very welcoming. The lobby design is very cozy and relaxing, but room was small and modest (we stayed in standard city view). Location is very good at the end of Waikiki with good beach (sea wall) for both surfers and those who are very average swimmers.
